A coworker asked me via Google Chat a few weeks back if I had heard of Fashivly. It is a virtual styling service approved by TikTok that creates outfits and products based on your tastes using a questionnaire. It was one the few TikTok trend that I missed because of my compulsive FYP browsing. When I watched her video, in which she tried on Fashivly’s outfit suggestions, I was captivated by the service.
In the last few decades, virtual styling has grown at an exponential rate. Propelled by social distancing in the pandemic, many styling professionals — including TikTok-famous Allison Bornstein — found themselves wanting to dress the masses from the comfort of their homes.
